  • 2009 Honda Accord:

    • HON KEY 051 COMBO - Honda Accord 2009, couldn’t get accurate cut pulled by Gymkana. Tried resourcing with several other techs and was still unsuccessful.

    • Suggestion - Use a brush to clean off the key and remove any dirt that may be in crevasses. If no key code is generated by Gymkana, compare the key cuts to what the Gymkana shows.  Manually adjust any of the key cuts that look off on the Gymkana and hit “find key code” to see if a valid key code is found.

  • Honda Pilot 2004:

    • couldn’t program a remote. Tried Hon 025 but no luck

    • Suggestion - Did the vehicle go into programming mode?  Check the battery in the remote/make sure it’s sending out a signal.

  • Honda CR-V 2006:

    •  He needed a spare but he had a HON KEY 010 Combo which does not show up in the presenter under CRV. It does show under accord. So I pulled that key. Remote programmed but the blade did not. In Zedbull the chips were different. Do you think someone cloned the key chip to make it work? Weird. I returned the inventory. I also tried it before I charged him because I was not sure.

    • Suggestion - This is actually a variation on the HON KEY 010 COMBO that we do not have SKU’d up.  It’s essentially a HON KEY 010 COMBO with a MEGAMOS 13 chip instead of the PHILIPS ID 46 chip.  This remote and chip combo only goes to the 2005/2006 CR-V

  • 2012 Honda CRV:

    • have a member who purchased a Hon 050 combo key for his 2012 Honda Cr-v. For some reason the car settings are unavailable if n he uses our key in the ignition.  But he can access them using his original key. I even tried swapping out the chips in the key we gave him and it was the same thing with our keys. Is there any specific reason why this would be happening? I called yerik and Angelo on this and they said to check with cke..maybe there's something they know? I got the members information because he wants me to follow up with him. He may want a refund.

    • Suggestion - What car settings are unavailable? Try a battery reset on the vehicle. Ensure the vehicle is in park and the ignition is in the on position.

  • 2005 Honda accord:

    • checked out the car before programming and everything worked fine so i made her a new combo key. After programming the new key the buttons on the remote wouldnt work so i programmed it manually and all of a sudden her drivers side door actuator wouldn't work. I explained to her that this was a common thing that could happen due to the age of the car. I advised her to get the car looked at. She was very upset because the car has been worked on alot recently and she was concerned about cost.

    • Suggestion - The remote portion of the HON KEY 010 COMBO does not program in at the same time as the transponder.  These remotes must be on board programmed and cannot be programmed with a SmartPro or similar device.  The OBP process does not affect the door lock actuators.  The issue either already existed on the vehicle or coincidentally appeared during programming.

  • Honda Fit 2007:

    •  it wouldn’t take the HoN 02 key. The remote part went in but not the key. We did a special order for the Hon 020.5

    • Suggestion: The HON KEY 020.5 COMBO is the correct key for this vehicle. Though we have seen a few take the HON KEY 020 COMBO. The remotes on these keys are the same but the transponders are different. Always go with the primary compatible SKU first and chip test the customer original and compare to the new key if you have any doubts or there are multiple primary options.

  • Honda hr-v 2019:

    •  (hon key 058). I tried to program 2 different remotes to the vehicle and both had the same issue. The truck button would only partially open/unlatch truck. Customers original key would unlock truck property but our key seemed to partially work. Customer kept key but didn’t seem happy.

    • Suggestion - I believe the key was either improperly unlocked or a circuit board for a 057 was inside the SKU.

  • 2003 honda odyssey:

    •  tried both hon 040 remotes I had neither would program. Customer had a fob and there's would get the vehicle into programming mode so the issue was not coming from the car. This was the 3rd time these remotes wouldn't connect to an odyssey. Sending both 040's back with next return.

    • Suggestion - Check the battery on the remote you are trying to program.  Does the 040 match the customer's original visually (same shape and number of buttons)?  If not you may need a HON 005, which was a dealer-installed remote for some 90’s through early 00’s Hondas.

  • 2011 Honda CRV:

    • Smartpro would not identify the vehicle. HONKEY700

    • Suggestion - 2011 CR-V, Unsure of what is meant by “SmartPro would not identify the vehicle”.  If the SmartPro was unable to connect to the vehicle, update the Honda software if the issue persists you may need a new OBD cable.

  • 2008 Honda Accord:

    •  hon key 051 would not pair to car.

    • Suggestion - Did the remote not pair or did the transponder not pair?  Car may have needed a HON KEY 055 COMBO

  • 2012 Honda Civic:

    • SKU HONKEY060COMBO It cut and turned perfectly but the remote would t program manually and the the OBD connected with decent voltage amd also tried with jump pack but the identification on smart pro continued to fail every time no matter which Immobilizer I attempted

    • Suggestion - If SmartPro is failing to connect on Hondas, possible bad OBD cable.  You can also try to program by system instead of by vehicle.  Should be an immobilizer type 13 blade, but if that doesn’t connect try type 7 and type 8 as well.

  • 2007 Honda CR-V:

    • -Hon key 050 Combo (unable to connect with the car, I did a battery reset but still the same results)

    • Suggestion - Update SmartPro software, make sure the vehicles battery power is above 11.5 volts, double check SKU is correct should read PHILIPS ID 46

2018 honda civic:

  •  tried hon key 057, 057.5, 058, and 058.5 combos I could get the chip in but none would get a working remote. Canceled

  • Suggestion - The HON KEY 057.5 COMBO is the correct SKU for this vehicle.  Did the customer’s original remote work?  Possible issue with the vehicle.
