Updating FDRS

We see issues with FDRS on a daily basis and in almost every instance, the problem is resolved by updating the software. 
Unlike other programming software, FDRS has to be updated manually. However, the process only takes a few minutes and there is an easy way to know if you need to update.

When you open FDRS, you'll see an Announcements section. The top announcement will almost always be the latest FDRS version number and release date.

At the bottom of the screen, you can see the version you are currently using. If you version is older than the current version, you need to update it.




To update, click the FDRS link and run the file.






This will open the FDRS installer. Running this will get your software up to date.




Updating should always be the first step anytime you experience an issue with FDRS. It will solve the majority of issues. If you're still having trouble after updating, open a ticket and we can take a look at it.

SmartPro: REMINDER 

Regularly updating your SmartPro is the most critical step in maintaining your device. You should update individual modules every other day and perform a full software update once a week, at minimum.
