IMPORTANT NOTES: This procedure can only be used on vehicles built in the USA. You must have two working programed remote/keys before you can add a third remote/key.

IMPORTANT NOTES: This procedure can only be used on vehicles built in the USA. You must have two working programed remote/keys before you can add a third remote/key.

  1. Insert the first valid key into the ignition switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the on/run position for at least three seconds, but no longer than 15 seconds.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the lock position and remove the first key.
  4. Insert the second valid key into the ignition switch.
  5. Turn the ignition switch to the on/run position within 15 seconds. After 10 seconds, a chime will sound. In addition, the Vehicle Security Light will begin to flash.
  6. Turn the ignition switch to the lock position and remove the second key.
  7. Insert the new key into the ignition switch.
  8. Turn the ignition switch to the on/run position within 60 seconds. After 10 seconds, a single chime will sound. In addition, the Vehicle Security Light will stop flashing.
  9. To indicate that programming is complete, the Vehicle Security Light will turn on again for a few seconds and then turn off.
  10. The new key is now programed. The Remote Keyless Entry remote will also be programed during this procedure. Repeat this procedure to program up to eight keys.
