Welcome to the Two-Hundred-Ninth edition of Tech Tuesday, a weekly email/newsletter where Tech Ops will provide you with new ideas, new procedures, new tools, and anything new to help you in the field.
Missing Vehicle Years
If you notice a missing vehicle year when invoicing or requesting compatibility by VIN, it doesn't necessarily mean that the vehicle is missing from Internal. It's very possible that it's hidden due to having associated SKUs or only unsellable SKUs. In this event, there is a solution.
When invoicing or requesting a SKU by VIN, there is an option to Show All next to the year. Clicking this button will give you the option to select vehicle years that are currently missing compatibility. This is common with 2025 model vehicles.
If the year is still missing after you click Show All, don't hesitate to get in touch with nickj@ikeyless.com or techops@carkeysexpress.com. Be sure to include the VIN and SKU being used in your email.
Please also be sure to let us know what SKU is being used if the vehicle you're servicing is on Internal, but has no compatibility.
SmartPro: REMINDER
Regularly updating your SmartPro is the most critical step in maintaining your device. You should update individual modules every other day and perform a full software update once a week, at minimum.
