Update On CDJ & GM OEM Programming Issues

Today we want to provide an update on 2 issues affecting the fleet:

Witech

The Negative Response 0x33 error message still persists on Grand Cherokees and Wagoneers. 

Stellantis provided the following update: 

"The overall issue we are aware of is RFH software.

We have software in our possession from the vendor to fix these issues. We are in validation of this software however, launch timing is expected to be April 2025."
We are still evaluating other possible solutions and working with AE Tools on this issue.

Techline Connect

The VTD Secure Access issue also still persists and appears to be affecting more models and occurring even when using the OEM GM passthru.

We have not gotten any new info from GM on this issue, but have received several possible workarounds that we will be testing in the coming weeks.

Like the Witech issue, we are looking at other solutions and working with AE Tools on this.

We will provide updates on both of these issues when more information is available.

We would also like to remind everyone that these issues are affecting locksmiths all over North America and can only be fully resolved by the OEM. Any alternative solutions must be very carefully considered and evaluated before being implemented.

SmartPro: REMINDER 

Regularly updating your SmartPro is the most critical step in maintaining your device. You should update individual modules every other day and perform a full software update once a week, at minimum.
