Infiniti M35/45 2006 2008 (2008 M35/45 using Type 12 black dongle.)

Programming procedure for 062

Find the security light, it's located slightly to the left above the radio. Prox slot is on the left side of the dash. M35/45 has it's own remote so be sure you have the correct one or it will not work.

Insert the Prox in the slot & the security light should be flashing, which means the key is not programmed.

Be sure you have good power to the vehicle. 12.1Volts or higher.

Just like any Nissan our first step will be to read the BCM and convert it to a valid pin code.

Go to Infiniti > Type 12 > SMC > ignition off and turn hazards on. Enter > please wait trying to communicate screen > Nats 1key screen > next is special functions > #1 BCM Read > convert your BCM number to a valid pin

Next go to #2 steering wheel lock release > all keys will be deleted.

Enter pin and hit the check mark. You should hear a click and the tester will ask you if you did or not? If so hit the check mark. You should see the successful screen. If so turn off your T-code.

Next turn the ignition on. The security light should be flashing. The steering lock being released has activated the learn mode.

Next turn the hazards off and the ignition off.

Now remove the prox from the slot and put it back in. turn the ignition on, watch the security light, it should flash 5 times and then go out.

Once again turn the ignition off, take the prox out, put it back in, turn the ignition on and this time the security light won't come back on because the key is programmed. At this point you can step on the brake and the car will crank.

Shut the vehicle off and take the prox out because now we need to program in the remote functions.

Put the prox back in the slot and turn your T-code back on. Once again go to Infiniti > Type 12 > SMC > special functions > #5 program RKE functions > enter > ignition off screen (it's already off) > enter > trying to communicate screen > insert programmed key in slot screen next and switch ignition on screen (turn ignition on) Note only 1(one) programmed key can be in the vehicle at a time. If programming more than 1 key leave any other programmed keys outside of the vehicle.

Next screen should read “ remove key from slot and press lock button for half a second and then release”. If at this point you have pressed the button and the screen says “failed” it's actually a good sign because it means the vehicle is reading the prox but your timing is slightly off.

Hit enter and go back to #5 program RKE functions and try again. (You can leave the ignition on this time) It may fail again several times so it's important you have patience. It will program, it's just a matter of timing. When it does program in, the screen will read “ RKE Stored”. Next hit enter. The screen will ask you if want to program more (RKE) keys. At this point you can hit the check mark if you have more keys to program or hit the X mark if you only have 1 (one) key to program in.

Now you can unplug your T-code, turn off the ignition and test your RKE functions. Also, step on the brake and push the start button to confirm the vehicle starts up.

Most models of the M45 for example don't need the key in the slot to start and run but some earlier M35 models actually require the key to be in the slot in order for it to crank.

Recap important notes

1. Make sure you have the correct prox.

2. Have plenty of patience for the RKE timing.

3. Always look at the security light for clues. If the security light is flashing slowly it means the security system is working properly. If you put a key in the slot and it flashes or stays solid it means you have a key that's not programmed. 5 flashes right after one another means it's registering the key.

4. Once you release the steering wheel it's very important you turn off the T-code.
