  • Remotes – If the vehicle is older than 2006, it will most likely be manual procedure/on board programming, other remotes, all programs under remote type 4. Except FJ Cruiser.

  • Key – There are 3 types of keys - memorize these and it will help you to cut down on time to program these keys. (if the customer has a gray key (valet key) we cannot proceed with programming. It has to be a Master Key (Usually black key). 

• Dot Type – toy key 700 / immobilizer type 4 .

• G Type – Toy key 800 / immobilizer type 5

• H Type – toy key 900 / immobilizer type 6

Make sure to locate a security light. Security light is an indicator if the key is programmed. If it flashes once it means it is programming. If it flashes TWICE and ONCE right after it means wrong chip, bad chip or maxed out on keys. It has to go through a whole one minute to program and the security light needs to stop flashing. 

• Smart Key: 

  • Make sure to match FCCID and Board Number

  • Use Xhorse to unlock the smart key

  • Follow the smart pro. New key has to beep twice, that's how you know it is programmed.
